What to bring

  1. Food/Treats: If you chose to supply your pet’s diet, please ensure to bring a quantity sufficient for the entire duration of your pets reservation. Simply bring the diet in the original packaging or an appropriately sized container. We can label and feed your pet according to your specifications.
  2. Medication/Supplement: Please bring all medications in their original packaging. We will be responsible for labelling. We will confirm the dose, frequency and duration of administration with you. Ideally it would be helpful to know the reason the pet is taking the medication. Please be prepared to provide this information.
  3. Bedding/toys: Having something familiar that smells like home often helps to make cats feel more secure. If you chose to bring along select items from home, please ensure that they are reasonably sized and can be laundered or washed easily.
  4. Litter/Litter box (Cats only): Some cats can be very particular about the size, shape and texture of their litter and litter box. If your cat would prefer to have the same litter box and or litter, you are more than welcome to bring it along.
  5. Carriers (Cats only): To ensure the safety of your cat, please bring your cat in a carrier.

General Dog & Cat Requirements

Current vaccinations  are essential in maintaining your pet’s good health. A copy of your cat or dog’s vaccine certificate or a receipt from your vet stating that vaccinations are current is required at the time of your pet’s check-in and as updated.

Required Dog vaccinations: DHPP, Rabies and Bordetella.

Required Cat vaccinations: FVRCP and Rabies.

If your pet cannot be vaccinated due to a medical condition, please call to speak to one of our Client Care Representatives.

Our pet resort is designed to lodge healthy, active, socialized family pets. Various staff members handle each animal every day. Aggressive, nervous or unsociable animals typically do not thrive in our environment.

We encourage you to bring your pet in for a Free Trial Day – it’s a great way to get to know each other before your dog or cat comes to stay!

At Parker Pet Care, we do our best to accommodate animals with special needs. If your dog or cat has a chronic illness like epilepsy, or a condition such as arthritis that is well managed with medication, they may lodge with us. However, we are not a medical facility and can only accept healthy, family pets. Animals with minor, acute medical issues – like an ear infection or skin irritation – may also stay with us, as long as they have seen a veterinarian first. We’re not able to accept animals with contagious illnesses, broken bones, stitches, or those that require injections.

If you have concerns about your pet’s health or if your pet has special medical needs, please give us a call to discuss with one of our staff members.

Parker Pet Care doesn’t place age restrictions on cats or dogs coming to lodge at our facility. All animals that stay with us must be fully vaccinated – and final vaccinations are given at three to four months of age.

Senior pets are also very welcome. In fact, we’ve cared for many of our guests from the time they were little to well into their golden years.

Parker Pet Care is not able to accept unaltered male cats due to their tendency to mark surroundings with very odorous urine.

Unaltered male dogs are acceptable, however we must keep them segregated from the general population. In these cases, one-on-one activity with a trained staff member is recommended.

Does your pet have special needs? No problem!
